As a huge fan of Joule, I've been excited to try Revel for a while and I finally had the opportunity this last weekend. Overall, it's good, not great. The service is okay, a bit awkward for me compared to Joule which has a much more inviting and helpful atmosphere. The short rib wontons tasted more like ground beef imo. They didn't have the rich beefy flavor I expected from short rib. The kimchi pancake was the standout for me and was absolutely delicious. Not authentic Korean by any means but it really is a fantastic fusion dish! The galbi short rib plate(not pictured) was very nice and charred as it should be. Some super tender cuts and some tough and some uncomfortably chewy cuts. Bonus points because they leave meat on the bone for that classic chewy, close to the bone gristle. Lastly, the Jaengban noodles were refreshing! These were more on the authentic Korean side for me with the exception of the type of noodles which were closer to spaghetti than anything I expected. The sauce is a simple gochujang/sesame base. Really nice and light. I see some reviews mentioning that the portion sizes for the price are too small. No idea what these people are talking about, go to a diner(?)

Had an interesting and enjoyable meal here of mostly small plates. Inventive and thoughtful menu. We ordered too much - 5 small plates would have been a hearty meal for the two of us. Easy to get in during Fremont Hour (happy hour). The kimchi pancake was my favorite.

We were staying in the Fremont area on vacation and were very happy to find this place. The food was delicious! We split appetizers and got entrees, but did not have room for dessert. Everyone loved the Chinese Broccoli and Short Rib Wontons. I enjoyed my Crab Noodle entree — it had the perfect spice level for me. The cocktails were also enjoyable.

I get that it’s not a cheap place. But for the price they are charging, the portions are insanely small especially for the appetizers. And it’s not any mind blowing good either. But the dessert are cheap and great. Especially the cheesecake. Also they add 22% service charge. Cool no problem. But for 22% extra charge, I don't want to be flagging down our server for everytime we need her. We also got the wrong check with double charges at the end. Thank god we checked

Above and beyond. Revel is not traditional Korean food but a modern spin on Korean dishes. The best thing I had was the summer lettuce salad and the dumplings. Divine!!!

Very nice service, atmosphere, and food. I love their open kitchen and the creativity of their dishes. I’d describe their cuisine as fusion, yet comforting Korean food. I came in as a walk-in and was seated right away, even with a group of four.
